About Me

Our kindergarten encourages children to learn and grow independently and together fostering the well being of both family and community, where the wonderful spreading elm tree enhances our outdoor play area. This blog is a wonderful way to keep in touch with whanau/families, both in Dunedin and further afield.

Hello to Farr Nursery in Scotland!

We have a family from Scotland currently attending Kaikorai Kindergraten. They have told us a lot about Scotland and their nursery back home. We would like to say a big hello to Farr Nursery! We have really enjoyed hearing about you all and would love it if you could send us some photos.

We have been learning about different cultures recently, including the celebration of Chinese New Year last week.
These photos show us enjoying making tea, which we all enjoyed. It's fun trying new things and learning about our own culture as well as others.

  1. Hello from Farr Nursery in Scotland!!! We all looked at your blog today and to see if we could see our friends. We have missed them very much and talk often of them. Every morning we say 'Goodnight, sweet dreams' to their pictures on our 'world' board , where we also have the wonderful postcard and kiwi they sent us at christmas. We cannot wait for their return and are planning to do a unit learning about life in New Zealand, where they can be our experts!

Hope that we can keep the communication ongoing between the two schools as we are always interested in making friends around the world.

Lots of love and best wishes, Mrs. Howie (I am using my own personal blog to message you) and the class at Farr Nursery x
