About Me

My photo
Our kindergarten encourages children to learn and grow independently and together fostering the well being of both family and community, where the wonderful spreading elm tree enhances our outdoor play area. This blog is a wonderful way to keep in touch with whanau/families, both in Dunedin and further afield.

Another term comes to a close.

Where did Term 3 go? We can't believe it's over already!

It must have been because we were so busy conducting scientific experiments and being kind and helpful Doctors and Nurses at the Kaikorai Kindergarten Hospital.

Have a fantastic hoilday everybody. Stay safe and we look forward to seeing you back at the start of next term - Monday the 11th of October.

Grocery Grab!!!

Kaikorai Kindergarten’s annual ‘grocery grab’ took place on the 21st of September, this year with a difference. Ten percent of the raffles sold for the grab at Fresh Choice were donated to the Christchurch Earthquake fund. On Tuesday the lucky winners were given two minutes at Fresh Choice in Roslyn to grab as much as they could, which was a whopping $327.38 – definitely up on last year’s total! This was a fantastic opportunity for our kindergarten to raise money for the sandpit redevelopment and to help those in need in Christchurch. Thank you to Fresh Choice for holding the event and to everybody who purchased a raffle.
